Overview:

Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, LLC, an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for a QA Technician at our Northland plant.

As QA Technician,you will:

  • Perform audits.
  • Take measurements and temperature readings of coolers, sterilizers, and room.
  • Compare test samples against approved samples; must be able to identify good and bad product.
  • Inspect the meat process, product, and sanitation process' take corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate paperwork.
  • Perform analysis's, interpret quality data; make recommendations for improvements and submit results to designated personnel.
  • Sample products to determine whether they meet specifications and quality standards and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Communicate with production workers and work together to develop systems that promote quality.
  • Compiles and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality of products; prepare data or reports for analysis.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to work extended scheduled hours Sunday through Friday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
  • Must be able to successfully complete training:
  • Safety.
  • Safe Quality Food (SQF).
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Food defense.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior quality assurance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility.
  • Prior production experience.
  • Work history in the last 12 months.
