Personal Trainer – JAH Workouts

(Wilmington, NC)

Job Type: Part-time (5–15 hours/week to start)

Compensation: $18–$30/hour depending on experience

Location: Wilmington, NC (Ogden / Porters Neck area)

About JAH Workouts

JAH Workouts is the new fitness division of JAH Basketball

Academy — built to serve parents, adults, and members of

the community who want structured, effective workouts in a

supportive, motivating environment.

While kids train on-court, parents can get their own workout

in.We're building an adult-fitness space inside the facility with:

  • Strength & conditioning circuits

  • Small-group morning classes

  • Personalized workout sessions

  • Low-pressure, high-accountability community training

We're looking for a Personal Trainer who brings energy,

structure, and a motivating presence — someone who can

lead workouts, connect with adults, and build a consistent

client base inside a growing facility.

What You'll Do

  • Lead small-group adult fitness classes (AM or PM)

  • Train 1:1 or 2:1 adult clients onsite
    • Create and run strength, HIIT, conditioning, or hybrid

sessions

  • Support parents who want to work out while their kids

train

  • Help design class formats and workout programming

  • Maintain a welcoming, clean, safe training environment

  • Encourage consistency, confidence, and healthy habits

Who You Are

  • A certified or experienced personal trainer

  • Confident leading adults of all fitness levels

  • Good at cueing form, designing circuits, and keeping

energy high

  • Professional, reliable, and comfortable working

independently

  • Encouraging — firm, supportive, no ego
    • Interested in growing with a facility that's expanding

into adult fitness

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience as a personal trainer, group fitness coach, or

similar

  • Ability to design and coach workouts confidently

  • Availability for mornings, evenings, or both

Preferred:

  • Personal training certification (NASM, ISSA, ACE, etc.)

  • CPR/First Aid
    • Experience with moms' fitness, small group training, or

HIIT
