Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or assist in structured, engaging classes using provided lesson plans
  • Support students with diverse communication, sensory, and behavioral needs
  • Maintain predictable routines to create a safe, inclusive classroom environment
  • Supervise small groups (typically 6–12 students)
  • Take attendance, ensure safe dismissal, and manage classroom setup/cleanup
  • Communicate with school staff and VAC coordinators as needed
  • Represent VAC Enrichment with professionalism, empathy, and positivity

Requirements

  • Afternoon availability
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clear background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with neurodiverse students
  • Teaching, tutoring, coaching, childcare, or behavioral support experience
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Understanding of sensory-friendly and trauma-informed practices
