Job Description:
Onset Technologies is seeking a Project Cost/Scheduler Analyst with 5–10 years of experience to support project planning, scheduling, and cost control activities. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office applications to manage project schedules and budgets. This role will work closely with project managers and clients to monitor progress, forecast costs, and ensure alignment with project goals. Strong communication and client-facing skills are essential, as the position involves regular interaction with stakeholders and leadership teams. The role is 100% onsite in Houston, TX or Richmond, VA and offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and forecasts to ensure financial control.
  • Perform schedule and cost variance analysis and support project performance reviews.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project teams to track progress, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support monthly cost and schedule updates, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project managers to provide timely updates and insights.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Project Controls, Scheduler, or Cost Analyst.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work directly with clients and internal teams in a professional, collaborative manner.
  • Background in engineering, construction, or energy environments preferred

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with cost management systems such as EcoSys, SAP, or MS Project.
  • Knowledge of earned value management principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
