Class A Marine Driver – Fuels & Lubricants Division

Location: Southern California (Garden Grove / Long Beach area)

Compensation: Starting at $38 hourly, depending on experience

Schedule: Full-time Day| Must be available for weekend , along with occasional night operations

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Class A Marine Driver to join our fuels and lubricants operations team. This role involves delivering bulk and packaged oil products, including over-the-water fuel and lube transfers, in compliance with USCG, DOT, and EPA regulations. The ideal candidate has extensive marine fueling experience, a strong safety record, and the ability to operate professionally in high-security marine environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform safe and compliant over-the-water fuel and lubricant transfers to vessels, barges, and marine terminals.

  • Operate Class A vehicles, ensuring full DOT and USCG compliance at all times.

  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate logs and delivery records.

  • Adhere to all fuel transfer protocols, including containment, PPE, and emergency readiness procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with terminal operators, vessel crews, and dispatch.

  • Assist with loading/unloading operations and product reconciliation as needed.

  • Maintain equipment cleanliness, organization, and readiness for inspection.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience with a Class A CDL.

  • TPIC (Transfer person in Charge) certification.

  • HAZWOPER training completed and current.

  • TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) – required to access marine terminals.

  • Proven knowledge of U.S. Coast Guard fuel transfer laws and regulations.

  • Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) and strong safety performance history.

  • Ability to pass DOT drug and physical exams.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous work in marine fueling or lubricants delivery environments.

  • Familiarity with terminal loading operations and fuel quality control procedures.

  • Experience performing emergency spill response or containment actions.

  • Forklift certification and ability to handle packaged goods when required.
