We are seeking a Third-Party Risk Management Analyst for a great client ours on a six-month contract, with the potential for permanent hire. This role involves executing the Third-Party Risk Management program by conducting vendor risk assessments, due diligence, and security reviews, while monitoring performance and managing remediation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Candidates should bring strong experience in compliance and risk management, proficiency in Venminder, and advanced Excel skills. Based in Kansas City, the position follows a hybrid schedule of four days in-office and one remote day each week, offering valuable career-building experience with a very large company.

Job Description

We are seeking a professional to support the rollout of a robust Third-Party Risk Management program. This position will focus on strengthening vendor oversight by building training and awareness across departments, creating screening tools aligned with industry standards, and refining policies and procedures to ensure effective risk governance.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the execution of the third-party risk framework.
  • Collect, review, and process vendor and partner documentation.
  • Identify and analyze potential risk issues, escalating findings to senior staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of all identified concerns.
  • Assist with business reviews of critical third-party relationships.
  • Help manage data related to vendors and affiliates.
  • Perform risk assessments, due diligence checks, and other internal deliverables.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects.
  • Lead initiatives to categorize vendors and oversee the assessment process.
  • Conduct security evaluations of vendors prior to onboarding.
  • Monitor ongoing risk exposure and coordinate remediation activities.
  • Track vendor performance to confirm compliance with program requirements and regulatory expectations.

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of compliance and risk management practices.
  • Experience in risk assessment and monitoring activities.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret risk data.
  • Familiarity with vendor management platforms (e.g., Venminder).
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ $45.00/hr.
