We are currently seeking a Senior Infertility Billing Specialist

Demonstrated experience in IVF and Infertility required

Responsibilities to include:

Prepare and submit insurance claims

  • Answer billing questions from patients, staff and insurance companies
  • Assist in maintaining an activity file on all insurance claims filed.
  • Post all payments and denials received in the office
  • Responsible for collecting, posting, and managing account payments
  • Alert the Billing Coordinator/Administrator of any coding discrepancies
  • Follow up on unpaid claims. Process and generate patient statements
  • Accept and respond to all telephone and mail inquiries regarding insurance claims
  • Customer service to both patients and insurance companies
  • Keep abreast of all changes in the rules and regulations applicable to commercial carriers and other third party payers
  • Submit daily, weekly and monthly financial reports
  • Maintain denied claims work file and take appropriate action as outlined by the department
  • Identify and resolve patient billing complaints
  • Prepare, review and send patient statements
  • Review all patient accounts and prepare information for the collection agency
  • Process payments from insurance companies and prepare a daily deposit
  • Perform various collection actions including contacting patients, correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payors

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of infertility billing and collections experience in infertility
  • Must be proficient CPT, ICD-9 coding, Excel spreadsheets, Word, internet access, and medical billing and EMR software.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and HCPCS coding
  • Must be able to meet reporting deadlines and submit professional and accurate reports as required.
  • Knowledge of electronic billing, payment posting and claims appeal process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $90,000.00 per year
