Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to meet their needs promptly and professionally
  • Assist customers with product selection, offering detailed product demos to highlight features and benefits
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
  • Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing
  • Conduct upselling by recommending additional products or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
  • Manage inventory levels through stocking, merchandising, and participating in regular stock counts
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
  • Support supervising staff with training new team members or overseeing daily operations when needed

Skills

  • Proven experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as arranging displays and stocking shelves efficiently
  • Experience conducting product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations is a plus for versatile retail environments
  • Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities for team support roles
  • Excellent phone etiquette, active listening skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
