Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Onboarding

  • Support supervisors/managers in using effective communication strategies with neurodiverse employees, including accommodations when needed.
  • Serve as an internal resource for reasonable accommodations and ADA-compliant processes.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Handle employee relations: coaching, conflict resolution, performance conversations, and documentation.
  • Support formal HR processes (discipline, performance management, terminations) when necessary, ensuring fairness and respect.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, and consistent delivery of required labor notices and documentation.

Training & Development

  • Help coordinate or deliver training relevant to working in an autism-centric therapy environment (e.g. neurodiversity awareness, communication, team collaboration, caregiver-family dynamics).
  • Partner with program leads to support ongoing staff development, competency-building and professional growth.

Culture & Engagement

  • Support initiatives to foster a supportive, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Assist with staff engagement efforts, team-building, recognition of contributions, and staff retention strategies.

HR Operations & Administrative Support

  • Support HR administrative tasks: record-keeping, benefits coordination (as applicable), onboarding paperwork, compliance documentation.
  • Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability in all HR processes.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills -both verbal and written -with ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Capacity to create structured, predictable HR processes that support consistency and fairness.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in behavioral therapy, autism services, or therapeutic care settings.
  • Experience (or comfort) in supporting staff in child- and family-centered service environments.
  • Training or certification in HR (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) or learning/organization development.
  • Experience or willingness to help build inclusion / neurodiversity-friendly workplace culture.

Why Join Just Kids Autism Center?
