Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and priming walls, ceilings, and trim to ensure a smooth painting surface.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, or power tools for efficient coverage.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential painting with a solid understanding of construction estimating and renovation processes.
• Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to read blueprints or schematics accurately.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, brushes, rollers, and power tools including airless paint sprayers.
• Knowledge of color theory for effective application of paints and finishes that complement interior design schemes.
• Experience with commercial or industrial painting projects is a plus; knowledge of restoration techniques is highly valued.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations accurately.
• Hands-on experience with carpentry tasks like trim carpentry or frame carpentry enhances your versatility on the job site.
• Strong background in construction estimating, schematics interpretation, plastering, stucco application, masonry or concrete finishing is advantageous.
• Valid experience working on construction sites with exposure to remodeling or renovation environments preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with good physical stamina; ability to work at heights or in confined spaces safely.
• Demonstrated maintenance person experience including fixture installation or maintenance work is beneficial.
