Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, bartenders, and training new team members to ensure they deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including shift management, customer interactions, and ensuring smooth flow during busy periods.
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and waitlist procedures to optimize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; oversee cash handling procedures and reconcile daily sales.
  • Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels of supplies, beverages, and food items; coordinate with kitchen management for timely replenishments.
  • Support food preparation activities when necessary, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
  • Implement staff training programs focused on hospitality management, customer service excellence, and food safety practices.
  • Monitor restaurant performance metrics, prepare reports on sales and operational efficiency, and assist in budgeting efforts.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, motivation, and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food production schedules and ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Manage customer feedback proactively to resolve issues swiftly and enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management, preferably within casual dining or quick service environments.
  • Strong supervisory skills with previous experience in supervising teams in a hospitality setting.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience required.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on staff training & development and team management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently during shift changes or busy hours.
  • Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within a restaurant setting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a positive attitude and energetic approach to guest interactions.
  • Culinary knowledge or experience in food preparation is a plus; familiarity with fine dining or banquet settings is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills combined with the ability to interview candidates and participate in hiring decisions.
  • Previous experience working in hotel or hospitality environments is desirable but not mandatory.
