Role Summary

We're hiring a Colorist who is confident in color work across all hair types and excited to learn/perform additional chemical services (perms, non-toxic keratin, curl reformation). You'll deliver elevated, texture-smart services while educating clients on healthy hair practices in a welcoming, inclusive space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced color services (grey coverage, tonal correction, lived-in blonding, balayage, glossing) with a texture-first approach.
  • Learn and/or provide chemical texture services, including:
  • Non-toxic keratin (e.g., Cezanne)
  • Healthy perms & reformation (e.g., Oway O-Wave, curl reformation/GinaCurl-style services)
  • Conduct thorough consultations that consider curl pattern, porosity, density, lifestyle, and long-term hair health.
  • Create personalized maintenance plans and at-home regimens; recommend organic/plant-based products.
  • Uphold impeccable sanitation, timing, and station organization; contribute to a calm, professional client experience.
  • Participate in content creation, education days, and community events.

What You Bring

  • Current CA Cosmetology License.
  • 1–3+ years of salon color experience (assist-to-stylist growth paths also welcome).
  • True comfort working with all textures, including natural coily + kinky hair.
  • Strong formulation skills with bond-builders and gentle chemistry; confident corrective approach.
  • Curiosity and commitment to continued education in perms, keratin, and curl reformation.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and warm client communication.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Portfolio featuring textured color work.
  • Experience with Oway/O&M/low-tox lines, Cezanne, or curl reformation.
  • On-camera comfort for education/social.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Hourly + Product sales commission (DOE), tips, Free services and product discounts.
  • Full-time
