We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal, Inc. seeks Machine Learning Engineer 2 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Design, develop, deploy, and monitor predictive models using machine learning (ML) techniques, including neural networks and tree-based models. Work with large volumes of data, including extracting insights and manipulating big data covering a wide range of information. Formulate innovative solutions, experiment, and implement advanced ML techniques to solve business problems. Collaborate with other ML scientists, engineers, and product managers to formulate innovative solutions, experiment, and implement advanced ML techniques to solve business problems. Communicate complex concepts, analysis insights, and modeling results through creative visualization to stakeholders of varying technical levels. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field.

Special Skill Requirements:

1. Experience with machine learning and designing/developing deep learning models.

2. Experience working with Natural Language processing.

3. Experience with statistical inference.

4. Experience working with SQL for data ETL.

5. Experience using Python for programming.

6. Experience using C++ for programming.

7. Experience using Spark for data ETL.

8. Experience working in Data Mining and Recommender System problem space.

9. Experience working with large, distributed data.

10. Experience with Xgboost.

11. Experience with Scikit-learn library.

12. Experience with Tensorflow and Pytorch.

Salary: $149, ,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
