Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be part of a world-class team. This person will be self-motivated and will understand the value of a strong work ethic, teamwork, and integrity in the workplace. Our success begins with our employees. This position will support the Facilities and Maintenance Manager in efforts to ensure optimal production equipment uptime. Additionally, this role will assist in the facilities maintenance of all buildings, contents, grounds, and systems that are required to comply with Premier Marine's corporate standards and image, as well as industry/equipment standards for operations and maintenance. Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety-related tasks. Candidate must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills, as well as a great attitude.

Management Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions

  • Inspect buildings, production equipment, and systems to proactively identify issues.
  • Repair downed production equipment.
  • Assist in the development of facilities and production equipment, preventative maintenance processes, and procedures.
  • Manage HVAC, Plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate and schedule repairs.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
  • Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • Physically capable and available to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well-organized and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Must be a team player with a focus on customer service and quality.
  • Must have solid work attendance and be reliable.
  • Ability to work within and advance the Premier Marine Core Values.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 1–2 years of trade school or vocational training
  • High School degree or equivalent

Physical Requirements

The physical demands needed are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job (sitting, standing, walking the manufacturing floor, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds).
