Full Dental Assistant Job Description:

  • Preparing patients for dental work.
  • Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
  • Assisting Dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
  • Providing great patient care.
  • Recording treatment information in patient records.
  • Taking dental x-rays (MUST be x-ray certified)
  • Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the Dentist.
  • Wiping down and cleaning the operatory in between patients.
  • Organizing dental supplies and maintaining dental inventory as requested.

Dental Assistant Requirements:

  • Assisting the doctor during procedures.
  • Reviewing the medical history and medications with patients at each visit.
  • Taking digital x-rays (MUST be x-ray certified and able to take digital x-rays).
  • Stocking the operatories and checking in dental supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Keeping the rooms clean at all times (including floors, equipment).
  • Being personable to patients and always making them feel comfortable.

HOURS:

Hours Include: (with some flexibility)

Monday: 10am-5pm

Tuesday: 10am-8pm

Thursday: 9am-1pm

Friday: 8am-3pm

Saturday: 8am-1pm
