CDL A Truck Driver

Job summary:

The OTR Driver is responsible for hauling all freight assigned by dispatch that may include several short hauls or all long hauls or a combination of both.   The Driver is required to stay out for a minimum of 14 – 21 days then be home for (1) one day for each week (7 days) spent out.

The Regional Driver is responsible for hauling all freight assigned by dispatch that may include short or long hauls.   The Driver is required to stay out for a minimum of five (5) nights then home for their 34-hour reset and be available to work at least one weekend per month. Due to the nature of the industry, this schedule could be frequently altered.

Key Responsibilities:

· Communicate effectively with dispatch to ensure hauling all freight assigned is delivered on time

· Ability to work with a flexible schedule.

· Maintaining proper electronic logs

· Abiding by all FMCSA and DOT regulations

· Other duties as needed and assigned

Qualifications:

· Experience as a professional driver

· Valid and current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with non-hazmat tanker endorsement

· Proficient at driving, maneuvering, and parking large vehicles

· FMCSA: Must be willing and able to comply with all regulations

· Flexible schedule

· Good driving record according to industry standards

· Adaptability to change with circumstances, able to handle stress positively and effectively in a fast-paced environment

· Teamwork: Work collaboratively as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to

o lift, push and pull up to 75lbs

o stand/walk on surfaces such as concrete, wood, metal, and sometimes on slippery and wet surfaces

o occasionally reach above shoulder level, at waist level, and below waist level for maneuvering to operate the truck

o climb up trailer ladder to vent dome

o enter and exit the vehicle's cab eight to ten times per day

o hook/unhook commercial vehicle to tanker, manually lower and raise landing gear, operate the fifth wheel, release lever, lock and pintle-hooks, climb in and out of the vehicle, fuel vehicles and check engine oil and coolant levels, hook and unhook hoses to tanker and climb ladder to open dome lid

o load and unload at customers

o drive up to 11 hours and be on duty up to 14 hours per day

Pay: $0.80 - $0.98 per mile
