Duties

  • Prepare pizza dough from scratch or using pre-made bases, ensuring consistency and quality in every batch
  • Select and measure ingredients accurately to craft a variety of pizza toppings, sauces, and cheeses
  • Assemble pizzas with precision, applying proper knife skills and food handling techniques to ensure safety and presentation standards
  • Operate ovens and other kitchen equipment efficiently to bake pizzas to perfection
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
  • Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes or seasonal specials to keep offerings fresh and exciting
  • Support the overall food service operation by helping with food preparation, catering orders, and serving when needed

Experience

  • Previous experience in a food industry setting, particularly in restaurant or kitchen environments involving food preparation and cooking
  • Familiarity with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs
  • Strong culinary skills including knife proficiency, meal preparation, and food handling expertise
  • Experience with fine dining or catering environments enhances your ability to deliver high-quality pizzas in diverse settings
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures is essential for maintaining health standards
  • Prior restaurant experience involving food service, kitchen operations, or the food industry will support your success in this role
  • A passion for culinary arts combined with excellent teamwork skills will help you thrive as part of our dynamic kitchen staff
