Summary
Balfour Beatty is seeking a Learning Specialist to join our team in Dallas, TX. The Learning Specialist supports the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning and development initiatives across the organization. This role contributes to leadership development programming and succession planning efforts by supporting in the development of career pathing. The position requires collaboration with HR partners, business leaders, and subject matter experts to ensure learning solutions align with organizational goals.

Essential Functions
Learning Program Design & Delivery

  • Assist in the development and facilitation of learning programs, including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, and blended learning experiences.
  • Support the execution of learning needs assessments and help identify skill gaps across teams and departments.
  • Maintain learning content and resources in the organization's learning management system (LMS).
  • Collect and analyze feedback from learning programs data to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Facilitate training in support of all departmental initiative under mentorship of others in the Leadership Development team.

Leadership Development Support

  • Coordinate logistics and materials for leadership development programs targeting early- and mid-career professionals.
  • Administer leadership assessments and assist in the creation of individual development plans.
  • Track participation and progress in leadership initiatives and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of leadership competencies and learning pathways.

Succession Planning Support

  • Assist in the documentation and maintenance of succession plans for key roles.
  • Support in compile relevant development resources that support career development.
  • Help monitor readiness indicators and maintain talent profiles in collaboration with HR business partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with HR, business leaders, and subject matter experts to ensure learning solutions are aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in adult learning, leadership development, and talent management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the learning and development function.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Psychology, or 3 to 5 years' related work required.
