We offer:
  • Training period: comprehensive 10-week training period - 8 weeks in the field working side by side with dedicated trainer & 2 weeks classroom-based training in Loveland, CO.
  • 3 days off per week After completion of training, your schedule will consist of 4 shifts per week at 10-hour days based on workload demand.

The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service, performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices located at our customer sites. The customer base for this role is anticipated to be a combination of municipal (i.e., drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial (i.e., power plants and food and beverage plants).

This position is part of the North America Field Service Team located in Loveland, COand will be remote.

In this role, you will:
  • Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
  • Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.
  • Submits prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.
  • Follows safe work practices according to company policy.
  • Work in a wide variety of municipal and industrial settings, including but not limited to drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, food & beverage processing facilities, etc. Some applications may involve instrument servicing in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2) *
  • Executes administrative activities in support of service visits.
  • 50-75% travel within a 2-hour radius of Loveland, CO. You can expect to have up to on average 1-3 nights away each week with company-paid accommodations and meals.
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • HS Diploma required; Associates/Technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair
  • 2 or more years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred.
  • You have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record required.
Travel Requirements:
  • This position requires daily travel to customer sites, typically within a 2-hour radius of the home office.
  • On average, 50% of weekly travel will include overnight stays.
  • Occasional travel to other states within the region is expected, with trips lasting up to one week at a time.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $ $32.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
