Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety in a school. You will be working from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm Monday through Friday when school is in session. An hour each day will be in the cafeteria removing trash from the cans and taking it to the dumpster. The other two hours a day you will be performing various cleaning tasks that they will assigned daily as needed. The ideal candidate will perform a range of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of the school, supporting the overall operations and appearance of our clients' property. You need to be able to lift up to forty pound garbage bags and take to a dumpster for an hour of each shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces.
  • Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and trash bags to ensure continuous availability
  • You will be removing trash bags from the cafeteria and taking them to the dumpsters.
  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored properly and maintained in good condition.
  • Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services preferred
  • Experience with commercial or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous
  • Ability to operate various cleaning machinery safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality standards
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and reaching high or low areas. This position is essential for maintaining safe and sanitary environments across our facilities. We value reliability, professionalism, and a proactive attitude in our team members.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 per week
