Job Title- IT Support Technician
Job Location- Onsite- Ashburn, VA, USA
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing accurate information on IT products and services, managing logistics for IT assets, and delivering technical support for end-users and event spaces. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in video conferencing support.
In this role, you will
Technical Support
- Provide accurate and timely information on IT products and services to end-users.
- Record events, issues, and resolutions in internal ticketing systems.
- Follow up and update customer status and information promptly.
- Escalate unresolved issues and pass customer feedback or suggestions to the appropriate internal teams.
Logistics & Asset Management
- Oversee daily administration of IT assets, including distribution, setup, shipping, and receiving.
- Maintain inventory of storage spaces and ensure proper stocking and upkeep of IT vending machines.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for asset lifecycle management.
Video Conferencing & Event Support
- Deliver Level 1 support for video conferencing systems, including troubleshooting and equipment inspection.
- Ensure readiness and functionality of video conferencing spaces.
- Provide technical assistance for event spaces and live events.
Networking & Troubleshooting
- Utilize end-user network troubleshooting tools and best practices to resolve connectivity issues.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems across multiple platforms.
What you'll need to succeed (required skills)
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Proficiency in IT support processes and ticketing systems.
- Strong knowledge of end-user network troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Familiarity with video conferencing platforms and equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills for inventory and logistics management.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred skills: what will help you stand out
- Experience with IT asset management systems.
- Basic understanding of cloud services (Azure, AWS) and integrations.
- Prior experience supporting event spaces and AV equipment.
