Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Direct Support Professional in Irvington, NJ. The Direct Support Professional will assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in achieving greater independence and enhancing their quality of life. Daily responsibilities include providing hands-on support during activities, developing individualized care plans, implementing training programs, maintaining clear and effective communication with participants, and fostering a positive, supportive environment tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Human Services and working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills to foster positive relationships
  • Capability to deliver effective educational and behavioral Training
  • Knowledge of NDIS processes or prior experience in disability services is a plus
  • Empathy, patience, and commitment to providing high-quality, personalized care
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated on-site team in Irvington, NJ
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in related fields preferred
