Location: Pyramid Healthcare – State College, PA (In-Person)

Schedule: Flexible (Part-Time)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and credentials

Position Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Outpatient Addictions Counselor to join our team in State College. This in-person role offers the opportunity to carry a flexible caseload of clients in recovery from substance use disorders, providing individual counseling and group therapy as needed. The ideal candidate has experience working with diverse populations and brings added insight into the unique needs of athletes who may face addiction and co-occurring challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual outpatient counseling for clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions focused on recovery, relapse prevention, and coping skills.
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the clinical team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with licensing and insurance requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings and case consultations to support continuity of care.
  • Draw upon experience with athlete clients to address unique recovery challenges related to identity, stress, and lifestyle.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (required) with completion of a clinical-based internship or practicum.
  • Licensure Required: LCSW, LPC, LMFT
  • Experience providing addictions counseling in outpatient settings.
  • Background or experience working with athletes in recovery strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to evidence-based, client-centered care.
