Overview: PARLOUR is on the lookout for a dynamic and seasoned Assistant Kitchen Manager to assume a crucial role in our culinary operations. Collaborating closely with the Kitchen Manager, this position is instrumental in upholding impeccable standards of cleanliness, ensuring top-tier food quality, and optimizing operational efficiency, all geared towards enhancing the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
- Assist in executing food preparation, cooking, and serving with precision and efficiency.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe workplace by enforcing PARLOUR policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to delegate tasks effectively, fostering a team-oriented environment for consistently exceptional dining experiences.
- Support in achieving financial targets, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring adherence to PARLOUR policies.
- Familiarity with kitchen management software for operational support.
Team Development and Collaboration:
- Work alongside the Kitchen Manager to inspire, train, and develop kitchen associates, addressing recruitment needs for a skilled team.
- Assist in implementing PARLOUR-approved training modules to ensure uniformity in employee skills and service quality.
- Actively participate in meetings and training sessions to continually enhance team performance.
- Encourage open communication and a positive team culture.
- Assist in addressing conflicts promptly and constructively, facilitating team meetings for operational improvements and shared responsibility.
- Collaborate seamlessly with front-of-house staff to ensure a harmonious dining experience.
Administrative Assistance:
- Support in tracking attendance and work hours meticulously for accurate payroll processing.
- Contribute to regularly updating records to reflect changes in personnel, promotions, or additional training completed.
- Assist in conducting thorough inventory checks regularly to prevent shortages and wastage.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate order placement, optimizing stock levels, and minimizing disruptions.
- Uphold unwavering commitment to health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Compliance Assistance:
- Act as a liaison between the PARLOUR headquarters and the local restaurant, facilitating effective communication.
- Participate in PARLOUR meetings and training sessions to stay aligned with broader goals and initiatives.
- Contribute to regular quality assurance audits to ensure operational and brand standards are met.
- Assist in implementing corrective measures based on feedback from PARLOUR inspections.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or hospitality education preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a kitchen environment, with a focus on food preparation and cooking.
- Serve Safe certified.
