Purpose of PositionThe Training Experience Manager (TEM) is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the digital training experience for crewmembers and employees across the operation, including pilots, maintenance technicians, dispatchers, and international trip planners. This role will define the overall digital learning strategy and ensure that training content is accessible, engaging, and effective across mobile (iPhone/iPad) and desktop platforms. The TEM will leverage a variety of modalities; just-in-time content, microlearning, flashcards, and in-depth eLearning, to create a seamless and modernized experience that supports competency based training and operational excellence.
Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDigital Learning Strategy
- Develop and oversee the end-to-end digital learning experience, optimizing for accessibility, engagement, and operational relevance.
- Define and maintain the digital learning roadmap for pilots and operational teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities and regulatory standards.
- Partner with IT, courseware developers, and training leaders to implement platforms and tools that support modern training delivery.
Content Experience Design
- Design and curate multi-modal learning experiences, including:
- Just-in-time content (e.g., Oceanic crossing, NJ Special Procedures, Mexico operations).
- Microlearning (short, digestible content modules).
- Digital flashcards (aircraft systems, operational procedures).
- eLearning modules (in-depth content such as winter weather, aircraft systems, safety).
- Build targeted learning journeys with recommendations for what to study, when, and how to prepare for success.
User Experience (UX) & Accessibility
- Ensure training platforms are optimized for mobile (pilot iPad/iPhone) and standard desktop use (dispatch, maintenance, trip planning).
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure intuitive, accessible, and consistent user interfaces across devices.
- Leverage analytics and learner feedback to refine the digital training experience.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor learning technology trends, evaluating and piloting new tools for digital training delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement cycles through data insights, user adoption metrics, and operational feedback loops.
- Champion a culture of digital-first, learner-centered training.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Education, Human Factors, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in digital learning, UX for training, or instructional design, preferably within aviation, transportation, or regulated industries.
- Demonstrated success building mobile-first training strategies and platforms.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory, microlearning, and digital content delivery.
- Experience with LMS/LXP platforms, mobile learning tools, and digital content creation (Articulate, Captivate, Adobe, etc.).
- Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with FAA regulatory frameworks and operational training environments (preferred).
- Strategic mindset with strong execution skills.
- Innovative and future-focused on digital learning trends.
- Learner-centered design and empathy for end-user experience.
- Strong collaboration across technical, operational, and training teams.
- Analytical approach to evaluating effectiveness and driving improvement
