Your Impact at SAM:
We're looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Utility Technicians. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn valuable skills, and build a career in Subsurface Utility Engineering. No prior industry experience required—SAM provides all the training, tools, and support you'll need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with identifying and marking utilities, structures, and control points on maps and in the field.
- Help set up and maintain approved traffic control plans
- Operate and maintain company tools and equipment, including vacuum trucks, hoses, air lances, jackhammers, and other field tools.
- Accurately collect, record, and document field data
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Safely drive company vehicles to and from job sites.
- Support your team by taking on additional tasks as needed while learning the trade
What You Bring to SAM:
- Valid driver's license, in conjunction with successfully passing the company MVR requirements, clean background check and drug screening
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
- A strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a willingness to learn.
