Job Summary:
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning strategic business
objectives with employees and leadership in all areas and business lines at Vista Care. This
position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to
Vista Care leadership and employees that reflects the business objectives of Vista Care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Participates routinely in meetings with assigned business leaders and teams, including
1 on 1's with operational leaders
? Oversees the overall HR Dashboard for Vista Care (i.e. Turnover, retention, employee
engagement surveys, exit interviews, stay interviews). Pulls reports and ensures all
data is updated and reported accurately. Analyzes trends and provides
recommendations for improvement
? Oversees the Employee Relations tracker to look for trends and notifies the Director of
Employee Relations with any issues that needs to be addressed
? Conducts, manages and resolves complex employee relations and investigations;
ensures due diligence is completed and all investigations are thorough and objective;
provides recommendations to assigned business leaders based on the findings of the
investigation/trends.
? Consults with Vista Care operations leadership, providing HR guidance and
recommendations as appropriate
? Provides day-to-day performance management guidance (counseling, career
development, career advancement and disciplinary action, as needed) to the Human
Resources Generalists
? Partners with assigned business leaders to improve work relationships, build
engagement and increase productivity and retention
? Conducts compliance audits to ensure Vista Care is compliant with background
checks, I-9's, MVR checks, training, leaves, workers compensation, and benefits
? Assists the Director of Employee Relations with various initiatives, including but not
limited to: succession planning, talent reviews, employee engagement, improving
retention and performance management
? Creates/Revises policies and procedures for the Human Resources Dept. and the
organization
? Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to operational leaders
? Maintains an in-depth knowledge of all employment laws in the jurisdictions that Vista
Care operates within: Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, South Dakota, Utah and Wisconsin
? Assists with Recruiting as needed on an ad hoc basis or based on Vista Care needs.
? Some travel required to support business locations in day center and residential
settings
? Partners with L&D and operators to create, assist, and/or deliver training initiated by
the teams to educate employees on topics such as: policies, procedures, engagement,
and employment law, etc.
? Support the HR team with onboarding processes
? Partners with Leaves and Benefits, including FMLA, LOA, ADA, 401K, and Benefits
implementation and education
? Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Employee Relations
Reports to work routinely and timely; if unable to report to work, or if there is a need to come
to work late or leave early, follow Vista Care's approval policy.
Complete required, on-going training requirements and competency levels within Vista Care
and State/County required timeframes.
Qualifications and Experience:
? Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources required or at least five (5)
years of Human Resources experience
? Working knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines, including talent
acquisition, employee relations, performance management and Federal, state and
local employment laws.
? SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP or equivalent preferred
? Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Upholds Vista Care's values of providing the BEST CARE
? Experience with UKG preferred
Scope of Supervision:
? Human Resources Generalist
Education:
? Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources required or at least five (5)
years of Human Resources experience
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
? Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds on a routine basis to assist with individuals
supported.
? Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach and assist individuals supported with their movements
including their ability to stand up.
? Variable weekly hours to support operational needs including evenings, nights,
weekends, and holidays including possible on-call support.
? Successful applicant(s) will be required to travel to the various programs as assigned
under the guidance of the Director of Employee Relations
? Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer/laptop
