Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious certified Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse supervisors and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
  • Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Build and stack pallets for storage or shipment, maintaining organization within the warehouse.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
  • Familiarity with materials handling processes in a distribution center setting.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to forklift operation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Previous experience working under the supervision of a warehouse supervisor is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
