Skill Developer (Basketball)

Skill Developer

General Summary

We are seeking passionate and qualified Basketball Skill Developers to instruct and develop our academy members during our evening sessions at our facility in Winston-Salem, NC. Using our specific curriculum, we teach basketball fundamentals to athletes from Kindergarten to High School. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching both basketball and life skills and must confidently and effectively implement our curriculum and mission. This will require the investment of some of your time to learn our development techniques. To succeed with us, you must be open and receptive to giving and receiving feedback from peers and from our Head of Skill Development. A Skill Developer must be able to perceive the ability of an athlete and adjust a drill to appropriately challenge the athlete, and bridge the connection between skill development and team play. You will be required to uphold a high standard of professionalism and a positive attitude through appearance, delivery, and interactions with athletes and their families. This is a part-time position generally during weekday evenings between 5pm and 9pm. We also do sessions on Sunday afternoons between 1pm and 3pm.

Becoming a skill developer also gives you the opportunity to work different camps, clinics, as well as do individual and small group sessions upon approval by the Head of Skill Development. We also have opportunities for team play coaches during our recreation and AAU basketball seasons.
