Job description – Project Manager

AnCor Inc. is a well-established national general contracting firm that has been in business since 1985. We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Project Manager, who will work out of our Phoenix, AZ office and oversee commercial construction projects throughout the western of the United States.

Position Overview:

The Construction Project Manager oversees and coordinates all phases of construction projects, from initial planning through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Manager works closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to manage schedules, costs, risks, and resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from pre-construction coordinating with our preconstruction department through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
  • Oversee site operations to ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, delays, or cost overruns through proactive management.
  • Review and approve invoices, change orders, and progress payments.
  • Ensure quality control and proper documentation throughout all project phases.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and project partners to promote repeat business and positive outcomes.
  • Meet with new potential clients to discuss how AnCor can fit their needs.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience (commercial, industrial, or residential).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and materials.
  • Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional certifications (PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or equivalent).
  • Experience managing design-build or fast-track projects.
  • Background in budgeting, estimating, and contract management.

Work Environment:

  • Combination of office and on-site work.
  • May require occasional travel to job sites or client meetings.
  • Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105, $130,000.00 per year
