Sales Specialist – Responsibilities

Love's Asphalt Solutions

Customer Engagement & Lead Management

  • Respond promptly and professionally to all incoming leads (phone calls, emails, website inquiries, walk-ins, and message board requests).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned potential and returning customers.
  • Gather accurate customer information, including property details, measurements, existing surface conditions, and requested services.
  • Educate customers on available asphalt services and recommend appropriate solutions based on site conditions.

Estimating & Site Evaluations

  • Conduct on-site evaluations to assess project scope, measurements, and job requirements.
  • Review job details in estimating software to ensure accuracy prior to estimating.
  • Prepare accurate and timely estimates in accordance with company pricing guidelines.
  • Communicate estimate details clearly to customers and answer any follow-up questions.

Sales Process & Follow-Up

  • Maintain consistent follow-up with customers throughout the sales process.
  • Track leads, estimates, and customer communications within company systems.
  • Update job status accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work toward closing sales while maintaining honesty, professionalism, and company standards.

Coordination & Internal Communication

  • Communicate effectively with Lead Sales Specialist, Office Administration, Project Managers, and Operations regarding job details and scheduling.
  • Ensure all required customer documentation is complete and properly entered into estimating software
  • Notify the office of any changes to project scope, scheduling, or customer requests.

Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times when representing Love's Asphalt Solutions.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Build long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Accurately record time, mileage, and job-related information as required.
  • Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and communication.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.

Performance Expectations

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and performance metrics.
  • Demonstrate accountability, reliability, and strong organizational skills.
  • Maintain knowledge of asphalt services, materials, and industry best practices.
