Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Title Processor to coordinate and manage the title process for real estate transactions. You'll review and analyze documents, clear title issues, and help ensure smooth, compliant closings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze mortgage and real estate documents, including:
  • Loan origination files
  • Credit information
  • Escrow instructions
  • Conduct title searches to:
  • Verify current ownership
  • Identify liens, judgments, and other encumbrances
  • Prepare and issue:
  • Title commitments
  • Title reports
  • Other documents required for closing
  • Coordinate with:
  • Lenders and loan officers
  • Real estate agents
  • Attorneys
  • Other parties involved in the transaction
  • Ensure all files and processes comply with:
  • Federal, state, and local regulations
  • Fair Housing regulations
  • TILA (Truth in Lending Act)
  • Work with internal team members to resolve title issues or discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain accurate records and file notes for all transactions
  • Provide clear, professional communication and updates to clients and partners throughout the process
  • Deliver excellent customer service from order opening through closing

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Title Processor or in a similar role in the title, mortgage, or real estate industry preferred
  • Understanding of:
  • Mortgage servicing and loan origination basics
  • Contract terms and real estate legal terminology
  • Basic math for figures, prorations, and closing numbers
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review and interpret complex documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with:
  • Title/closing software (experience with any major platform is a plus)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
