About the Role
The Sales Coordinator is an administrative and customer-facing role responsible for supporting showroom sales operations and delivering exceptional client experiences. This position assists customers in the showroom, via email, and over the phone, while upholding Verellen's commitment to service excellence, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator with a background or strong interest in design. The Sales Coordinator manages order tracking and follow-up to ensure accuracy and timely communication with clients and internal partners. Working closely with the Sales & Showroom Director and the High Point–based Customer Service team, this role supports sales growth, account development, and brand-building opportunities for Verellen.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive sales support and perform administrative duties as assigned by the Showroom Manager.
- Utilize Outlook, Excel, and calendar management tools to support scheduling and communication.
- Greet and engage prospective clients with a professional introduction to the Verellen brand and product offerings.
- Prepare accurate and timely quotes and sales orders for clients.
- Follow up on outstanding quotes to convert leads into confirmed sales.
- Communicate order status updates, production schedules, and delivery timelines to clients.
- Maintain and organize showroom inventory, including fabric and finish samples.
- Ensure accurate, up-to-date records of quotes and orders in internal systems.
- Oversee showroom operations in the absence of the Showroom Manager to ensure uninterrupted customer service.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports to High Point headquarters.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP/CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard office equipment.
- Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and building lasting client relationships.
- Problem Solving: Analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Dependability: Reliable, accountable, and consistent in performance.
- Multi-Tasking: Skilled at managing multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Interpersonal Skills: Serves as an effective liaison between clients and internal departments.
- Record Management: Maintains organized and accurate records and files.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional, fast-paced office and showroom environment. Standard office equipment—including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines—is used regularly.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently sits, stands, walks, uses hands to handle or feel objects, and reaches with hands and arms.
Position Type and Schedule
- This is a full-time position.
- Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (hours may vary as business needs require)
Travel
Occasional travel may be required but is infrequent.
