About Clerk Typist:
Enters, updates, and maintains a variety of records, forms and data in accordance with the County Attorney's Office procedures and legal requirements. Provides general reception and other office and administrative support functions.
- Inputs and updates data into County databases, spreadsheets, and systems from paper and electronic sources.
- Scans, copies, maintains, and organizes digital and physical records and documents in accordance with County procedures and schedules.
- Performs reception duties by greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing them to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Accepts and verifies documents and money received.
- Prepares and runs simple and/or standardized agendas, reports and documents.
- Scans, copies, and files correspondence, documents, and records in numerical or alphabetical order.
- Sorts and delivers office and department mail.
- Monitors and maintains schedules for facilities, meeting rooms, and staff.
- Assembles and sorts transactions and documents, ensuring all paperwork is in proper order and reconciling missing items. Verifies accuracy of data before and after entry; identifies and corrects errors as needed.
- Maintains and orders supplies for the assigned area.
- Notarizes legal documents as required and assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a related field required.
- Valid Notary Public commission preferred.
