Overview:

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full-time Food Service Associate to work at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites. Must be available to work various days and shifts between the hours of 7:00am-2:30pm or 10:30am-7:00pm, to include weekdays, weekends and holidays, as needed, for a total of about 40 hours a week. Minimum age of 18 years old is required for this position.

This position will pay up to $18.31/hour (straight pay/no tips). Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

Job Duties & Skills Required:

What You Will Do

The primary responsibilities of a Food Service Associate include assisting in patient tray line assembly and related duties such as loading, operating, and cleaning the dishwasher. Assists in the service of meals to cafeteria patrons and operates the cash register. Also maintains the records, inventories, surveys, and other controls relevant to the cafeteria.

Skills & Requirements

Previous food service experience in a health care setting with altered diets preferred.

Must be 18 years of age or older

For cafeteria duties, cash handling experience preferred.
