The
Accounting Support Specialist
assists the accounting team with maintaining accurate financial records across general and cost accounting functions. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including data analysis, invoicing, month-end close activities, and transaction review, while ensuring compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist accounting associates with maintaining accounts and financial records
  • Collect, organize, and analyze financial data to support reporting and reconciliations
  • Prepare and assist with invoicing, monthly status reports, and month-end close activities
  • Review, verify, and support the preparation of transactions and journal entries
  • Ensure accounting procedures and internal controls are followed in compliance with SOX initiatives
  • Support multiple business areas and shift priorities throughout the workday as needed
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • Strong Excel skills; this role heavily utilizes Excel for data organization and journal entry preparation
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work at a transactional level
  • Ability to review and validate large volumes of financial data accurately
  • Flexibility to support four distinct business areas and manage frequent context switching
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
