The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Project Coordinator in our Mission Advancement department, working with our Transformational Philanthropy team.
This position is a home-based position.
Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day administration, including assisting with scheduling calls and meetings, managing conflict-free calendars and travel, managing projects, completing project assignments such as processing invoices and expenses, conducting donor/funder research, and ensuring data quality in our Salesforce Customer Relationship Management database for the team.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Schedules internal and external donor meetings with the highest level of professionalism and excellent communication,
- Provides project management for and assists with the preparation of grant proposal documents, budgets, reports, presentations, correspondence, or face-to-face meeting support materials
- Manages calendars, travel, and expenses for up to five team members
- Coordinates logistical details and materials for small donor gatherings and other cultivation efforts
- Serves as Salesforce CRM power user to monitor and provide reports and updates as needed, including ensuring data quality. This includes complete and accurate donor records, revenue review and recording, creating dashboards as needed and providing technical assistance to team members on how to access information. Serves as the data liaison with Mission Advancement operations
- Develops understanding and knowledge of Mission Advancement areas of business, the Association's Mission, and goals to ensure effectiveness in the role
- Participates in Mission Advancement team projects and initiatives as requested
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years of experience
- Experience providing administrative support, preferably for development teams, of three or more individuals
- Ability to initiate support and collaborate with all levels of staff, prospects, volunteers and donors
- Comprehensive ability to prepare written communications for a variety of audiences or individuals, including report formatting and visual aids
- Experience using donor relationship management software (e.g., Salesforce CRM), standard business technology applications including Microsoft Office and a demonstrated ability to learn new tech platforms
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working with government grants, foundations,, and/or high net worth donors
- Experience in a non-profit, hospital, research or academic institution
- Understanding of the philanthropic environment
- Experience working with colleagues in remote locations and within different time zones
