Los Angeles, California, United States Coffman Engineers Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

Company Description
At Coffman Engineers, we serve as both prime consultant and sub consultant on projects large and small, including commercial, retail, institutional, government, industrial, and project/construction management. Incorporated in 1979, we have employees in more than 23 locations serving clients across the United States and overseas.

To meet client objectives and to integrate our many disciplines, we can create teams comprised of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and corrosion control, as well as project/construction managers and professionals in a variety of specialty services. This ability has made us a leader in the engineering and construction communities, and has strengthened our reputation as being progressive, innovative, and a great place to work.

Job Description
Are you a storyteller? Are you an organized, flexible, ambitious, outside-the-box thinker? Do you want to learn and grow your career as part of a fast-growing team? Then we want to hear from you

Coffman Engineers is looking for the right individual to support the marketing and proposal writing needs of our Los Angeles offices. This individual may be able to work from our Downtown or Woodland Hills location. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for marketing, writing, and relationship building to join our team. The right candidate will work with our General Manager and Regional Marketing Manager to support marketing and proposal efforts while supporting the office's business development strategy.

The primary work in this role includes supporting the development of prime and subconsultant proposal materials, other marketing materials, and various communications pieces. Tasks may also include project lead tracking, CRM and marketing database maintenance, presentation development, internal team coordination, event support, and more. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious marketing professional to learn from seasoned AEC marketers and grow your career alongside a thriving office.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support the writing and production of qualifications-based proposals describing technically complex concepts in a way that non-technical readers can understand. Each proposal is custom written, working from various InDesign templates. The response could be a single page or 50 pages. It could be a response in SF330 format or an architect's request for qualifications. Every situation is unique.
  • You will be a detail focused, schedule driven, multiple hat-wearing, punctuation enforcing marketing professional. You will have an eye for graphic design, a brain for strategic thinking, a passion for collaboration, and a hunger for learning new concepts. Your marketing responsibilities will grow as you grow at Coffman.
  • Work hand in hand with the local and companywide marketing team, engineers, various departments, and subconsultants to find and track potential project leads, assess prospective clients' needs, and evaluate the competitive environment.
  • Maintain up to date data in various locations including Coffman's CRM, marketing database, and more.
  • Support a variety of local and corporate marketing and BD initiatives. You may support tasks ranging from press release writing to trade show coordination and more.
  • Join and engage with appropriate architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) industry organizations, including Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

We will give you the training, resources, and mentorship you need to succeed in your role, but a basic understanding of A/E/C marketing and proposal processes will accelerate your learning curve and allow you to tackle the necessary tasks more quickly.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Approximate Base Salary – $75,000 - $90,000 annually
  • Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
  • Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution
