We are seeking reliable and experienced Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. Full Time and part time positions are available. The pay range for this position is $18-$20 per hour.

The locations we are hiring for are as follows:

  • Norfolk
  • Chesapeake
  • Virginia Beach

The available schedules we are hiring for are as follows:

  • 2a-10p
  • 4:30p-12:30a
  • 10p-6a
  • 11p-7a

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
  • Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
  • Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
  • Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
  • Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
  • Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications:

  • Must have a current and valid armed VA DCJS license. (MUST HOLD A VIRGINIA STATE DCJS ARMED LICENSE)
  • Must have 2 years previous experience in armed security, law enforcement, corrections, or active duty military
  • First Aid and CPR/AED certified
  • Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, running, physically restraining a violent person, lifting objects weighing up to 50 lb
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen to be considered for the position.
  • Must be able obtain OC- Spray and Baton certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Must be able to work weekends. Must have reliable transportation.
