Dining Room Manager

What You will do as an LVMG Dining Room Manager:

• Manages dining rooms and Dining Room Supervisor to ensure all meals are served in accordance with food safety standards while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
• Ensures standards are adhered to regarding staff uniforms, presentation, and behaviors.
• Schedule appropriate servers and DSA's for various positions.
• Responsible for hiring of server and DSA staff.
• Meet with clients to plan the menus, set-up and breakdown, scheduling of event timeline and staff for all catering functions.
• Support executive chef on menu creations for catering and resident events.
• Conducts weekly catering meetings with the interdisciplinary team to communicate event needs.
• Supports the training of servers of proper serving techniques using 5-star guidelines.
• Conducts team member performance evaluations and performance management for direct reports including team member counseling and progressive discipline.
• Engages with customers to ensure satisfaction in areas such as quality, service, and problem solution.
• Responsible for keeping all work areas and cooking equipment clean and orderly.
• Provides culinary support for other dining functions as requested.
• Ensures that all HACCP documentation is completed accurately in a timely manner including temp logs, hot/cold hold and refrigeration/freezer logs.
• Attends all training in-services and classes as required.
• Maintains compliance in all LVMG policies and practices including, but not limited to, Code of Integrity Corporate Compliance Guidelines, HIPAA regulations, resident rights, and confidentiality.
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and procedures (HACCP, ServSafe, Safety Procedures)

Salary will be based on candidate qualifications including skill set, experience, and education

What You will Need as an LVMG Dining Room Manager:

• Certification/degree in Hospitality or related area preferred
• 2 or more years of managerial level experience in fine dining, hotels or senior living.
• Catering experience required
• Knowledge of sanitation, safety and food handling techniques, rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of plate presentation and awareness of visual stands relative to preparation and service of food.
• Basic computer skills- Word, Excel, Email
• Must be Servsafe certified or complete within first 90 days of hire.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work with and interact effectively with all individuals within the organization, including coworkers, residents, family members, visitors, government representatives, and the general public.
