We're looking for a dedicated Wholesale Nursery Sales Executive to join our stable, expert team and drive our market position and financial growth.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

The Wholesale Nursery Sales Executive will work to improve the company's market position, achieve financial growth, and act as a crucial link between our production facility and our customers.

Sales & Business Development

  • Growth Strategy: Define long-term organizational strategic goals and create/implement a comprehensive business plan that includes marketing strategies.
  • Pipeline Management: Proactively pursue sales leads and prospective customers to expand the client base.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate and close business deals to drive year-over-year sales and revenue growth.
  • Project Coordination: Create responsive and timely budget and proposal documents for customers. Coordinate several projects simultaneously without supervision.
  • Sales Systems: Understand and become fluent in the nursery inventory/sales system and assist in setting up a system to manage all material flowing through the wholesale portion of the nursery.

Market Intelligence & Client Relations

  • Market Knowledge: Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions (pricing, competition, trends) and report this information to key staff.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain important client relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Surveys & Feedback: Survey customers as directed by the Manager to gather market feedback.

Marketing & Outreach

  • Content Creation: Be responsible for social media content and assist with the creation of marketing campaigns and materials.
  • Marketing Implementation: Develop and implement effective marketing ideas.

What You Bring (Required Qualifications)

  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in the Nursery Industry with exposure to a broad range of business operations in a Green Industry related area.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, or a related equivalent is preferred.
  • Horticultural Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of plant material, including health, quality issues, disease, and pests of landscape plants.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in both oral and written communications. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Able to become familiar with industry-standard inventory/Point of Sale software.
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of specifications, contracts, and performance standards within landscape and nursery operations.
  • Mindset: Ability to think in a creative, innovative, and practical way for new business development, while maintaining the current customer base.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communications skills, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a stressful, fast-paced environment. Must be able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Requirements: Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable on the company's insurance policy. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
