Territory Sales Representative (Food & Beverage)
Pay Rate:
$21.60 per hour
Location:
Irving, TX (field-based; local territory)
Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Sales Representative will be responsible for expanding business within a defined local territory by developing new customer relationships and supporting existing accounts.
This role focuses on increasing revenue through proactive outreach, account growth, and strong in-store execution.
The ideal candidate enjoys working independently in the field, building long-term partnerships, and driving results through hands-on sales activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow current customer accounts by delivering consistent service and identifying growth opportunities
- Develop and carry out sales plans to meet revenue and performance goals
- Identify and pursue new business with independent retailers, distributors, and wholesale partners
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers to support retention and long-term growth
- Conduct regular outreach through referrals, networking, and in-person visits
- Negotiate pricing and promotional terms in alignment with business objectives
- Execute in-store merchandising, including product placement and promotional materials
- Coordinate with store contacts to ensure optimal visibility and presentation
- Monitor inventory levels, report stock needs, and recommend replenishment quantities
- Track sales activity and market conditions to adjust territory strategy as needed
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and arranging products when required
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of
2 years of sales experience
(experience within food, beverage, CPG, or independent retail environments preferred) - Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and work independently in a field-based role
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable prospecting and developing new business
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to travel locally within the assigned territory
- Able to lift and move products weighing
35–50 pounds
