*Your Impact
As an Onshape Product Operations Intern, you'll play a key role in strengthening, developing, and maintaining data-driven insights to enhance Onshape product development and decision-making process. Throughout your internship, you'll collaborate with teams across the product group, support localization initiatives, and enhance the team's ability to make informed decisions through accurate reporting and process optimization. Working cross-functionally with R&D, Product, Localization, and Operations teams, your work will directly shape how we use data to improve products and guide strategic decisions, making a significant impact on our approach to data-driven decision-making.
Your Team
You will be part of a team that is responsible for assisting with strategic decision-making relating to the Onshape product. You will work with a small, agile team that works cross-functionally across the organization and brings important information to key decision makers. This team turns data into insights that can easily be understood and put into action to make the product better.
Your Day-to-Day:*
- Use Python for data analytics, cleaning, and manipulation to prepare data for reports and dashboards.
- Assist in localization operations by tracking localization bugs, supporting backlog management, and helping create and maintain a localization style guide.
- Build and maintain dashboards and meet regularly with stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Manage and optimize workflows in Jira to support product operations processes and ensure visibility into progress, blockers, and milestones.
- Participate in team meetings, presenting data insights and making recommendations based on trends and analysis.
- Support additional product operations tasks related to product data quality, reporting, and cross-team process improvements.
*Basic Qualifications:*
- Must be enrolled in a degree program in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in data analysis and visualization libraries (e.g., pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, plotly).
- Experience building dashboards and reports, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills preferred
- Familiarity with Jira or similar workflow management tools.
- Familiarity with tools like Looker, Power BI, SQL or Tableau
PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated average hourly rate for this position is $32/hour. This rate reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's major, degree currently being pursued and location.
