Overview
The General Recruitment Specialist serves as a key liaison between Everett Community College and the broader community, with the primary goal of expanding educational access and opportunities. This role is instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive outreach strategies to attract and support diverse student populations. The General Recruitment Specialist works collaboratively to promote EvCC's programs, facilitate the enrollment process, and contribute to the college's mission of fostering student success.

Duties & Responsibilities
Outreach and Recruitment
- Develops and manages relationships with external K-12 and high school-focused
community partners in the EvCC service area
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations, state agencies, and
educational institutions to drive student recruitment strategies, with a focus on adult learners.
- Plan, organize, and participate in diverse outreach events, including college fairs, campus visits, new student orientations, and community programs.
- Facilitate informative workshops and presentations on admissions, financial aid, college access, and EvCC programs, both on and off-campus, virtually and in-person.
- Coordinate with internal departments to support recruitment efforts for various student
demographics, including high school students and adult learners.
- Manages and ensures a consistent and timely presence at all K-12 schools in EvCC's
service area.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of recruitment and marketing materials.
Enrollment Support
- Provide comprehensive customer service to prospective students and community members
through various communication channels (email, phone, text, in-person).
- Guide prospective students through the application and enrollment processes, offering
personalized assistance and information.
- Collaborate with campus departments such as Financial Aid, WorkForce Funding, Veterans
Resource Center, and the Diversity and Equity Center to ensure holistic support for prospective
students.
- Support dual credit programs and other specialized enrollment initiatives as needed.
Administrative Support
- Utilize and maintain database systems and student records to support recruitment efforts,
including PeopleSoft ctcLink and Customer Relationship Management tools.
- Monitor and update the campus Master Outreach Calendar for effective event tracking and
reporting.
- Collect, analyze, and report data related to student recruitment and outreach efforts.
- Participate in campus and community committees to support institutional goals and improve
outreach strategies.
General Duties
- Travel locally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate
outreach events and student needs.
- Maintain current knowledge of EvCC programs, policies, and procedures to provide accurate
information to prospective students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative outreach and recruiting
initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations and meet the evolving
needs of the campus community.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
(Any equivalent combination of Education and Experience)
- Associate's degree in education, communications, public relations, or a related field with relevant coursework (or equivalent experience).
- Two years of professional administrative and recruitment experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local and statewide travel.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to create and conduct
effective in-person and virtual presentations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Competent in using computer applications, including word processing, data entry, and email
systems.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals of various ages,
ethnicities, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships, collaborate across teams, and work both
independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Three or more years of experience in postsecondary education admissions, financial aid, or
recruitment/outreach.
- Familiarity with community college systems and community resources.
- Proficiency in a language other than English.

Terms of Employment
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends.

- Position is subject to Everett Community College policies and procedures.

- Performance will be evaluated after a six (6) month probationary period and annually.
