Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Activities Director to join our team in providing engaging and enriching activities for our residents in a senior care setting.

Duties:

  • Plan, organize, and implement a variety of activities to meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents

  • Develop and manage activity schedules that cater to a diverse group of individuals

  • Coordinate outings, events, and programs that promote socialization and overall well-being

  • Collaborate with staff to integrate activities into the overall care plan of residents

  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress

  • Ensure activities comply with safety regulations and enhance the quality of life for residents

Requirements:

  • Certified Activity Director

  • Experience in assisted living or senior care settings

  • Knowledge of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and care practices

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively

  • Familiarity with long-term care principles and memory care techniques

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and staff

  • Background in social work or related field is a plus

  • Understanding of dementia care practices and techniques
