Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development and execution of capital projects across its facilities. This role focuses on improving manufacturing and maintenance processes using industry-standard project management practices. The Project Manager will oversee projects ranging from $5K to $25MM, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and engineering standards. Travel to various AgriBusiness locations is required to support project implementation.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of capital projects to improve manufacturing and maintenance processes.
  • Manage multiple projects from initiation through completion, applying project management best practices.
  • Forecast budgets, schedules, and resource needs for capital projects.
  • Monitor and implement cost control measures to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and engineering standards.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree required – preferably in Engineering, Construction, or Project Management.
  • Associate degree in Construction, Project Management, or an Engineering field may be considered with additional relevant experience.
Experience Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience managing capital projects in agricultural product manufacturing.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing technologies and project management techniques.
  • Proficiency in standard software applications (Excel, AutoCAD, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, math, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Valid motor vehicle driver's license required.
Experience Preferred
  • The ideal candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license and have 10 years of experience managing capital projects in agricultural product manufacturing.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience with agricultural product manufacturing processes and facility operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and construction practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in industrial environments.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move freely throughout AgriBusiness facilities, including climbing vertical heights (0–150'), carrying tools and equipment (0–100 lbs), and exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, noise, and chemicals.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including a self-contained breathing apparatus.
  • Required to travel to remote facilities, vendor sites, and customer locations.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment.
