Schedule:  7:30am - 4:00pm OR 8:00am -4:30pm Weekend and weekday coverage

More about our team: North Kansas City Hospital is 48-bed Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) located in NKC Health Main Hospital Building. Our Unit is a very fast paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow We have an amazing team with over 25 FT therapists

What we're looking for: We are looking for a dynamic Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant who is passionate about helping others and is a team player

What you will do in this role:

· Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs

· Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records

· Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements

· Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition

· Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Candidates must have certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)

· Graduate of an accredited American Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree

· Current and valid state AOTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are rendered

· Inpatient experience preferred 

· CPR certification (when required)
