Responsible for collecting and analyzing project performance data, ensuring the project forecasts are accurate concerning both budgets and timelines. The position will report directly to the Project Controls Manager and indirectly to the Project Manager and routinely interacts with the Project Management Team and Senior Management.Responsibilities:Key Cost Specialist Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Understand contract requirementsCreation of original budgets from the as-sold estimates developed by EstimatingCollaboration with Finance & Accounting on financial reportingAnalyze and report cost impactsManage implementation of the monthly cost report and cost forecast analysisDevelop and update project progress measurementKey Scheduling Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Understand contract requirements, project milestones and activitiesLead the development of project schedule working with the project teamDevelopment of all levels of the project scheduleFacilitate monthly updates and critical path schedule analysisParticipate in schedule review meetingsAnalyze and report schedule impactsParticipate in planning sessions of the projectQualifications:15+ years of EPF or EPC experience as a cost specialist / planner (experience in Refining / Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or industrial fabrication industries preferred)Skilled in MS Word, Excel and Power PointCompetent in the use of all Microsoft office tools, with particular expert use of Excel.Expert in the use of the JDE accounting package, or similar.Expert in the use of Primavera P6Skills and Behaviors:Skills and BehaviorsBusiness presence and polishKnowledge of CB&I products and marketsProactively identifies and solves the complex problemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMentally agile and ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlinesProven negotiating ability with high emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated business partnering skills with the ability to influence the organizationAdaptability and agility to learn and contribute in varying and complex environmentsA mature business and technical acumen coupled with a drive to achieve resultsExceptional communication and presentation skill, both written and verbalAbility to work and build credibility across the business, up to and including senior management levelProactively embraces and promotes the company's values and culture, including diversity & inclusion and a healthy and safe work environment.Benefits:CB&I is proud to offer eligible employees a robust package of benefits, including major medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k)-matching program, FSA/HSA programs, long- and short-term disability options, life insurance, and AD&D.
