Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional service and operational excellence in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, with a focus on quick service and fast food operations, as well as fine dining experience. This role requires a passion for the food industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality and customer service.
- Manage staff training and development programs to enhance team performance and retention.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize supply costs.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop budgets and manage financial performance, including cost control measures.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and collaboration among staff.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Supervise shift management, ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
- Experience with inventory management and budgeting processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS).
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in fine dining or casual dining settings is preferred.
