HR Specialist/Coordinator
to join its
People Team
Reporting into the HR Director, this role will assist with recruitment, onboarding, benefits enrollment, employee records and relations, and general HR administration. This is an on-site position, with hybrid flexibility after training.
Responsibilities:
- Own the store-level staffing/recruitment process; post job openings, screen resumes, schedule interviews for District/General Managers
- Assist with onboarding and new hire paperwork
- Maintain accurate employee records, certifications, and trainings
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries
- Support management in disciplinary actions and investigations
- Assist with benefits administration and the open-enrollment process
- Assist in the creation and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Assist the HR Director and Leadership Team with ad-hoc projects/tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and internal company policies
- Promote a positive and inclusive work culture that aligns with company values
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 1+ years of general HR experience, including recruiting/onboarding for a non-exempt workforce
- Experience in Food, Hospitality, or Retail industry preferred
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communications skills; strong attention to detail
- High energy to support frontline teams in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Ability for occasional travel between restaurant locations, including out of state
